Of Course my job as a model is mainly about looks - and staying in shape is an issue when you are like me and like to eat.
Since I am getting asked a lot what I do, here my personal regime, that I layed out more extensively on the top swimwear website www.bestswimwear.com
I ‘m not big on breakfast, but don’t wanna miss out on nutirients, so I usually have a shot of Mona Vie in the morning…It’s an Acai juice.
cleanses and really keeps your appetite under control while giving you some good amount of antioxidants…
I recently switched to being a 95%fish-tarian and feel good without meat…if I have a strong craving for meat, I have a steak…but interestingly enough my craving for meat is decreasing.
so I indulge in sushi (!!) and salads and seafood dishes and pasta….
in the evening I usually go out for dinner and eat pretty much what I want…BUT watch the portion and carb intake ….But key is for me : trying not to eat later than 6pm, unless it’s a big night out with friends.
as for alcohol: when it’s party time I like my vodka and obviously its lower calorie than Wine, champage or sugar loaded cocktails. the super light version of a little buzz is Vodka with diet coke.
as for sport: I am not big on the gym. So for those who wanna develope muscle mass fast without having to become a gym rat, try Powerplate
(google it)… just 20 min one time a week get me the result I need to stay in shape….No, I am NOT kidding you…(it’s Hollywood’s best kept secret to stay or get in shape fast)
But now I am curious how YOU stay fit and what your diet secrets are….
that’s interesting that you only work out for that amount of time. i don’t do any workouts but i’m a guy. so whatever haha

Kurt: most guys work out more than women though!
I also have dogs and they keep me on my toes…. So I go out and walk with them by the beach. Plus my job comes with a lot of flying and RUNNING around.
Physical activity is not just about staying in shape, but staying healthy…even if we are not in the mood: we gotta do it and our health will thank us later

Thats very interesting that u dont work out very often yet u look so fit.
4 me, i stay in shape by doing yoga and jiu jitsu. most ppl think yoga is sum sissy girly stuff, but trust me it is no joke lol. and jiu jitsu is a good and fun way 2 work out. since ur on ur ground most of the time it is a great way 2 work out all the muscles of the body.
and i think the most important way 2 stay in shape and healthy is by eatin healthy. i eat only natural products and i have felt the best now than any other time in my life.

i think jiu jitsu is a great healthy exercise too and amazing for self defense. funny i am actually going to my 3 rd class today. my fiance loves it and one of his best friends train gracie jiu jitsu in miami and he s a true believer in the sport. i wont lie i love junk food and am obsessed with swedish fish! i crave sugar and i know it isnt healthy but cant help myself sometimes:) hey i m human too….

Joanna, sounds good.
In essence balance is key. Some people with better metabolism get away with less workout…others like me, gotta hit the gym more often.
A big problem today is processed foods - they are proven to make people fat. So I try to stick to as much unprocessed food as I can, cause many fruits and veggies have natural metabolism-boosters,

Regarding how to stay in shape and stay healthy I read an article about interval training not long ago. It seems to be a really effective way to stay fit, cause it boosts your metabolism and thus the amount of calories you burn during the day.
It’s worked great for me and I saw the results after only 3 weeks.
I really recommend it.

Oh, and concerning the diet part; I’m a lacto vegetarian. I can really recommend that. As long as you vary between different vegetables and supply with beans, rice etc. it seems to me, that your diet takes care of itself.

You are such a beautiful person, inside and out. I admire what you do as a role model. Everytime I look at the Frederick’s catalog, I want to buy everything just because it looks so good on you. But then again, I am flat as a board and have nothing to fill in the upper part. I don’t work out much because I have a very high metabolism due to hyper-thyroidism. But I try to cook my own meal at least five times a week so I know exactly what goes into my food and not have to worry about feeling guilty later. It’s great to read that a model eats, not to mention pretty much everything. Having suffered from anorexia the past 3 years, I know many women (and men) appreciate role models such as yourself talking about food in a positive way. Most of us dealing with eating disorders know what we are doing is wrong, however when it comes from models or celbrities who many girls look up to, it means so much more than what doctors, and nutritionists say. In the end media has the power.
I do believe that balance is the key, and that one shouldn’t deprive oneself from good things all the time. And to take care of your body and health means giving it nutrition and excercise (not just to burn calories, but to have fun with it and enjoy it, because you know it’s good for you!)

While I understand that you promote good causes which is great, your statement that posing nude in Playboy and this is in line with your Catholic faith is simply not the case. Pornography is a sin and God sees this as a horrific sin, second to none alone. So, the human form in nude in Playboy is not tasteful as you say, it is porn and causes many men to fall into sin.

Я бы сказала о монументальности, грандиозности некоторых сюжетов. А назвала бы - “нефильтрованный реал”. На мой взгляд, красота - это все-таки другое: лучшее, чистое, избранное, заставляющее трепетать и поражаться. Можно найти красоту во всем, но всё скопом - не есть красота. Имхо.

Keep goin with ur cause, slavery and cruelty are sin, i support ur courage and ur will which gave voice to unspoken words of animal cruelty. Everyone in this world think but only some can do something. Thanking you, keep goin all the best ur cause and ur fight against animal cruelty.

Just wanted to comment that I have enjoyed seeing you work in person at the Miami Swimshow modeling some of my favorite swimwear fashions. I think your images in Playboy are beautiful and tasteful my husband agrees as well. You were awesome in Dancing with the Stars and was impressed on your multiple talents, drive, and grace.
